Charles Gassiot
CHARITABLE TRUST
Supporting those in need in Tooting
Established in 1964, The Charles Gassiot Charitable Trust offers financial support to those who are experiencing financial hardship. Administered by the Rector and Wardens of St Nicholas Church, the trust offers short-term help to those who find themselves looking for relief from poverty.
Who do we support?
The Charles Gassiot Charitable Trust exists to support people in the parish of St Nicholas Church, or those who are members/regular attendees at St Nicholas or one of its groups. We also support charitable organisations that support or work with those in financial hardship within the parish.
Examples of the support the trust might give would be:
- Covering the cost of furniture for a new room/home
- Paying for repairs to a boiler or car
- Covering the cost of a residential school trip
- Paying for clothes or other essential items
- Paying off an overdue utility bill
Our support is not limited to those with a Christian faith, but open to all those who find themselves in need.
How might we support you?
The trust can give support to help relieve the short-term effects of financial hardship but we are not able to give long-term regular income
The trust prefers not to make cash payments but will do so if that is the most appropriate solution.
